Helambu Trek

Helambu trek is very easy and near from Kathmandu valley. Helambu is relatively low altitude trekking that’s why Aged people also easily access to kiss the beauty and nature variously in Helambu. It’s just 75 km far from Kathmandu. The climate and environment is quite better and scenic outstanding is well-known. Most of the people in Helambu is Tamang, Sherpa and Gurung, it means they are rich in their own culture and tradition among others. Local tradition of their typical ethnic community, many Buddhist Monasteries, rich and enchanting landscape, dance rhododendron forest, peep of the various wild animals in the forest with beautiful cry of colorful birds are remarkable and distinctive feature of Helambu trek. Melamchi Gaon, Tarkegyang and Sermathang are notable place of Helambu trekking. It offers the views specially Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lhakpa. Seven days are needed to be complete this trek and ts also good camping places in every settlement.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel

Day 2:Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m.) and it takes about one hour.

Day 3:Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m.) which takes about seven hours.

Day 4:Trek from Kutumsang to Magen Goth (3514m.) which takes about three hours.

Day 5:Trek from Magen Goth to Melamchi Gaon (2640m.)  via Tharepati Pass (3650m.) which takes about six hours.  

Day 6:Trek from Melamchi Gaon to Tarkeghyang (2743m.) and it takes about six hours.

Day 7:Trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2621m.) which takes about four hours.

Day 8:Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m.) and it takes approximately five hours.

Day 9:Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu which takes about six hours.

Day 10: Farewell dinner with friends.

Day 11: Departure to home Country.
